Downtown Charleston's Only Waterfront Hotel
The Cooper will be downtown Charleston’s only full-service waterfront hotel. Overlooking the Cooper River, the hotel draws its design inspiration from its French Quarter surroundings. In addition to 12,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, The Cooper will also include a 7,000-square-foot full-service spa and fitness center, nearly 20,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor event space, and an outdoor infinity-edge resort pool with views of the harbor and the historic downtown skyline.
The Cooper will also feature extensive food and beverage offerings, including a waterfront cafe, a rooftop lounge with a dedicated public elevator from the park, a ground floor casual outlet and a signature restaurant offering commanding water views. The property is also home to the highly popular Fleet Landing restaurant which will continue to operate in its historical waterfront location on The Cooper property.
In conjunction with The Cooper’s gracious amenities, Lowe has been working with the City of Charleston to extend the Joe Riley Waterfront Park by more than 400 feet, starting at the park’s north entrance on Concord Street and ending at Cumberland Street. As part of the park extension, Lowe will also be providing a new dock and marina facility which will allow for boat dockage and water taxi service.
