All Season Northwest Vacation Destination
An all-season vacation destination, Sunriver Resort covers 1,134 acres in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Lowe recognized a rare opportunity to take this well-designed, master planned development and establish a unique destination for leisure and group guests. A $36 million renovation and expansion project in 1999 added 33 luxury River Lodge units and remodeled the Meadows and Woodlands golf courses. In addition, Lowe meticulously restored the Great Hall conference center and the Lodge, key elements in the resort’s repositioning. Along with Resort upgrades, Lowe continued the expansion of Sunriver. Between 1993 and 1999, Lowe spearheaded the development of Crosswater, a luxury community which includes an award-winning golf course and clubhouse, 91 residential lots, and 25 luxury condominiums. In 2007, Lowe completed an additional residential community, Caldera Springs, which features 320 housing units, a clubhouse and golf course. The newest community, Forestbrook, is a 600-acre expansion of Caldera Springs including a major swim and club facility along with 340 homesites and 75 homes purpose built for rental.
Under Lowe’s stewardship, Sunriver has earned AAA Four Diamond status, and is consistently ranked among Conde Nast Traveler’s Top 50 Ski Resorts, Links’ 100 Best Golf Resorts, and Golf Digest Magazine’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses.
